The Finland international produced a string of outstanding saves to keep the Tigers out at the KC Stadium. Bolton went on to win the game 1-0. "Jussi played a blinder. He pulled off one or two great saves," said Brown. "There was the one from Geovanni´s header, which I thought was the turning point. "I was expecting to run on the pitch with both arms raised because we´d scored an equaliser. Jussi is a world-class goalkeeper. I´ve got nothing but admiration for what he´s done at Bolton." After a disappointing first half the Hull boss, who spent six years on the coaching staff at the Reebok, changed things around at the break. "I didn´t think we´d done enough in the first half, so we asked the players to raise the tempo, raise the quality of our passing and raise the quality of the ball into the box," Brown added. "At the end, I couldn´t fault them because I thought we did enough not just to get a point out of the game, but to get all three." The Tigers sit sixth in the table after Matthew Taylor´s goal consigned them to defeat. They face Manchester City on Sunday. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
