England close-call and a new Hull deal

It was a massive compliment when I heard I was being considered for the England squad to face Spain in the last friendly. Our physio got a call from the England physio to see if I could play and I was fit and ready. Unfortunately I didn´t get the call up but it´s great to know that I´m in the manager´s thoughts.

It was in the papers that if I got picked I´d be the first Hull player to play for England for 103 years. For me, playing for my country would be the pinnacle of my career and it would be great to be able to represent Hull on the international stage.

I recently started talking to the club about my future and I was delighted to sign a four-year extension to my contract at the KC. It wasn´t a difficult decision to make in the end. The club are going in the right direction and we´re both ambitious about the future so there was no reason not to sign.
