Bullard´s a great buy for Hull

Our new signing Jimmy Bullard
Before Saturday we´d lost six games on the bounce so we´d lost a little bit of confidence. The point against West Brom will help but I thought we deserved to win the game. We were in the ascendancy in the first half, creating plenty of chances and managed to score just before the break. We were confident of going on to win the game but a sloppy goal let them back in and we gave away a penalty to give them a draw. It was two points lost.

We´re all confident of getting that league win soon though. We´ve had some good results in the FA Cup – beating Newcastle and Millwall – so we´re not far away. We´ve got a great group of lads and we´ll all pull together to turn the results around.

Hopefully Jimmy Bullard will be a big part of that. He´s a great passer and he´s always trying to get on the ball and make things happen. It´s just disappointing he got injured against West Ham. It was his first game and he was already making a difference after coming on from the bench. Jimmy was a massive part of keeping Fulham up last year. Hopefully it won´t be such a nail-biting finish for him this time around but he obviously has the character to get teams out of that situation. He´s already made an impact in the dressing room, he´s a really funny guy and has put a smile on everyone´s face. Let´s hope it´s not too long before he´s back in the side.

We´ve also lost a few players in the transfer window, one of them being Marlon King. Kingy´s done really well for us. He´s got us a few goals but he´s gone to Middlesbrough until the end of the season so we need to look elsewhere for our goals. Maybe I´ll have to chip in with a few more myself! I think in the West Brom game I was the top scorer on the pitch for Hull as Geovanni was on the bench and Daniel Cousin was out injured.

We play Chelsea today. When we lost to them in October it was the start of a bit of a difficult patch for Hull, we were on a winning streak at the time, full of confidence and expected to win every game. After the Chelsea game we took a bit of a dip. We need to get that feeling back again, starting at Chelsea.

Stamford Bridge may seem a bad place to go when you´re on a bad run but we´re going there with no pressure on us. No one expects us to get anything from the game so we´ve got nothing to lose. We´ll just go there and enjoy it and maybe we can draw on our results at the Emirates and White Hart Lane and get another surprise three points in London.
